Meet Silvia Gualtieri
Silvia Gualtier is a proud resident of Mississauga and MPP for Mississauga East-Cooksville.
Silvia has an untiring work ethic. She started as an educator with the Dufferin-Peel Separate School Board where she taught classes from junior and senior kindergarten through the elementary grades. She entered the insurance business and became the executive assistant for Gualtieri Insurance and Financial Services. Recently, Silvia earned an MBA to further qualify her for business and public service.
Silvia was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee medal for her extensive volunteer work and community service. She has been the president of the Catholic Women’s League and is a current member. She has dedicated many hours to Vita Manor projects for young women in Streetsville, assisted with the Children’s Choral Society of Mississauga, and was part of the fundraising group for the Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts. Until being elected, she was Honourary Chair to the Gatehouse, assisted on the Women’s Shelter Committee in Brampton, and was a member of Zonta International. Her award was well earned.
Silvia Gualtieri and her family have been residents of Mississauga for five generations. She and her husband, Dr Angelo Gualtieri, together share the joy of three daughters, two grandsons, and a granddaughter.
